Nadvirna Professional College of National Transport University

 

The history of the educational institution dates back to 1962 when the Stanislav Industrial Technical College began its activities. In 1968, the institution was renamed the Ivano-Frankivsk Auto Transport Technical College.

In 1999, the Nadvirna College was established based on the Ivano-Frankivsk Auto Transport Technical College and the Ivano-Frankivsk Forestry School. In 2004, the institution became part of the National Transport University under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as a separate structural unit. In 2020, Nadvirna College of the National Transport University was renamed the Separated structural unit "Nadvirna Professional College of National Transport University".

The college structure includes the following departments:

  • Automechanic department
  • Department of Information Systems, Technologies, and Construction.
  • Department of Business, Law, and Transport Technologies.
  • Department of Extramural and Distance Learning.
  • Educational and Methodological Center for Specialized Secondary Education.
  • Eleven subject (cyclical) commissions.
  • Center for Training and Retraining of Skilled Workers – a structural unit that meets the needs of citizens in vocational education and acquiring working professions according to their interests and abilities.
  • Other units to support the educational process, including a library, canteen, graduate employment assistance center, and student creativity and leisure center.

TEACHING STAFF

The educational process at the Separate structural unit "Nadvirna Professional College of National Transport University"  is supported by 106 teaching staff, including 2 professors with a Doctorate in Technical Sciences, 15 candidates of sciences (5 of whom hold the title of associate professor), and 10 educators awarded the badge "Excellence in Education." The college has 65 specialists of the highest category, 14 first-category specialists, 15 second-category specialists, and 12 specialists. Additionally, 28 of the highest-category teachers hold the title of "Teacher-Methodologist."

The total number of employees is 196, including 21 administrative staff and specialists. Among the administrative staff, 14 are under 55 years old, and 7 are over 55 years old. Among the teaching staff, 15 are over 55 years old.


STUDENTS

Currently, the Separate structural unit "Nadvirna Professional College of National Transport University" provides educational services to 1051 students. The students of the college have repeatedly won annual professional skill competitions, olympiads, and scientific research competitions. 

Student self-government at the Separate structural unit "Nadvirna Professional College of National Transport University" is an integral part of public self-governance in the VET Institution. Student self-government unites all students of the college. All students enrolled in the institution have equal rights to participate in student self-government and may be elected to its bodies.


PARTNERSHIP

The Separate structural unit "Nadvirna Professional College of National Transport University" collaborates with employers under partnership and business cooperation agreements. The college has signed 80 partnership and business cooperation agreements with enterprises, institutions, and organizations that are recognized leaders in their respective fields. This interaction professionalizes VET education, enhances its quality, and strengthens and modernizes the practical component of educational-professional programs.

 

DIRECTIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW INITIATIVES WITHIN
THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM

  1. Development of Partnerships with European Educational Institutions
  • Signing cooperation agreements with educational institutions from European Union countries for the joint development and implementation of educational programs and projects.
  • Organizing student and faculty exchanges between Ukrainian and European educational institutions to enhance qualifications and exchange experiences.
  • Jointly conducting research projects in the field of energy-efficient technologies and sustainable development.
  1. Participation in International Educational Projects and Initiatives
  • Engaging in joint projects funded by the Erasmus+ program, aimed at developing new technologies in the transport sector and education.
  • Collaborating with European partners in the development of courses and open educational resources related to advanced technologies in electric transport and environmental education.
  • Participating in international conferences, seminars, and forums dedicated to innovations in VET education, environmental awareness, and sustainable development.
  1. Enhancing Professional Mobility of Students and Teachers
  • Organizing internships and practical training for students and teachers in European educational institutions and training centers specializing in energy-efficient technologies and environmentally friendly transport solutions.
  • Conducting joint workshops, training sessions, and educational tours for students and teachers in collaboration with European partners.
  1. Integration of European Standards into Educational Programs
  • Collaborating with European experts to adapt educational programs to the requirements and standards of the European Union.
  • Participating in a professional competence development program for teachers in accordance with European standards and practices.
  • Implementing a quality control system for education that meets European criteria and standards to enhance the competitiveness of graduates in the international labor market.
  1. Initiating New Projects in the Field of Sustainable Development and Environmental Education
  • Jointly developing projects with European partners aimed at implementing innovative solutions in environmental education and sustainable development.
  • Creating international consortia to participate in grant programs and competitions related to the development of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies.
  • Involving students and teachers in the development and implementation of startups aimed at solving environmental problems using the latest technologies and approaches.
